I am a rebel.
I have body confidence.
In an age where we are bombarded with thousands of messages daily telling us how broken, ugly and imperfect we are, having body confidence makes you a rebel
The rebel body confidence kind of power comes from deep within you.
This is what they don’t want you to know.
There’s nothing wrong with you. The power to be confident is something you already possess.
You have everything you need for total self-love and confidence already. You don’t need to buy a book, or a seminar, or a 9-part series on DVD. You don’t need a beach body, tighter abs, to count arbitrary numbers when you eat food. You don’t need another degree. You don’t need a better relationship. You don’t need to “do” anything….
You don’t need anything except to remember what you already know. You can have rebel body confidence ANY TIME YOU WANT TO. It’s already a part of your DNA. Your highest self. Your inner queen.
To have rebel body confidence, you need to be present. You need to actually be in your body (not living above your nose, in your intellectual yet controlling mind, where I like to spend a lot of time.) You need to feel. You need to learn how to move emotions THROUGH your body, not letting them get stuck and built up in your cells. How do you learn this? (I’ve got to keep something for future blogs, right?) This is what I am going to be dedicating my time and attention to over the next few years.
How do you know a women with rebel body confidence?
She shines. Her head is high. Her voice is strong and confident. Her posture is open and accepting. She also possesses a badass side. You don’t want to push her too far, or you might unleash her wrath. She is passionate. Interested. Engaged. She wears bright colors. Lots of red. People notice her when her energy comes into the room. You want to get to know her immediately. She is striking.
She’s quiet. More reserved. Deep inside, though, she knows that she is enough, just the way she is. She doesn’t worry about the opinions of others, she takes care of herself.
There are many different ways to have Rebel Body Confidence, and I am looking forward to capturing the stories and successes (and oopsies!) of the women who are done living with criticism, anger, hatred, frustration, and loathing and approach things from a more divinely feminine way of living.
The definition of rebel body confidence is simple. Yet, so challenging to fully integrate. There are several key tenants of this concept that come to me as I work with my own body confidence. They are as follows:
I’m going to play with these tenants over the next few months, talking more about this idea.
I have a vision.
Women, young and old, coming into their own unique flavor of rebel body confidence. Spending the rest of my life watching this happen.
Sweet heaven, I’ve found my calling.
The world changing. One woman at a time. One realization after another opening the universe in the most feminine of ways. Juicy. Tender. Creation.
Oh, and one more thing before I go….this rebel body confidence….it’s not a destination. You don’t “arrive” there like arriving at LAX. It is a slow, sometimes painful, exhilarating daily practice. Yes, folks, you heard it here for free. This is a practice. Some days you are going to ROCK IT. Some days you are going to fall flat on your sweet curvy ass. Each day though, you’ll do your best practice, and learn, grow, develop…..your daughters will see this in you. They will start to honor themselves as you do. Your mothers will see this in you, and maybe even let their lights shine a little brighter. Your tribe will support and love you.
So, I just gave you my entire book in one blog post. So, consider this a value:)
More to come….
Right now, I’m going to yoga to rock my rebel body confidence all over the place!
